Stanley Kubrick, one of our favourite film directors, often employs the combination of number “114″ in his work. The most well known examples are CRM-114 - name of the message decoder on the B-52 in Dr. Strangelove, or Serum 114 from the Ludovico treatment in A Clockwork Orange.
We don’t exactly know what “114″ means, but here is a series of frames captured at 114 seconds (approx. 1.9 minutes) from Kubrick’s films, perhaps we will see the man behind all these figures has already offered an answer to us by means of time.
